This is a must stop whenever I am in town. I ❤️ that there's always something new in the case. The creme' burlee cheesecake was outstanding. Of course I grabbed a few favorites for the crew as well and some for the trip home. Always get some for the road.

Gregory’s Bakery is pretty decent overall, but just a heads up—parking can be hard to find. I got lucky and grabbed a spot right when someone was leaving. I tried a few desserts: sweet potato cake, lemon bar cheesecake, banana pudding cheesecake, and peach cobbler cheesecake. The sweet potato cake tasted more like carrot cake (without the carrots), so I’d give that a 3/10 since I was expecting more sweet potato flavor. If it were actually carrot cake, I’d rate it much higher. The lemon bar cheesecake was really good—definitely an 8/10. Nice balance of sweet and tangy. The banana pudding cheesecake was decent (7.5/10), but it didn’t have as much banana or pudding flavor as I expected. The peach cobbler cheesecake was my favorite—easy 9/10. Really flavorful and well done. Overall, it was a great experience and I would come back to try more items.

What a fantastic little hole in the wall spot. Now I get it when someone may say good things come in small packages. This spot is small in size but big in flavor. I had cake but the show stopper was this stuffed croissant jerk, chicken and a pastrami and sauerkraut. Let me tell you it was fan flipping tastic. I need to try everything until I find my ten favorites lol.

If you have a sweet tooth and you're in the area, go to Gregory's, 285 23rd st, Oakland. This was my first time visiting. This underground store front gives a "You're on for a special treat" vibe. Since the store is underground, only a few people at a time were allowed inside. There are no tables for seating. There were so many desserts to choose from. I ordered the Pecan Sweet Potato Pie. The young man taking orders was very friendly and engaging. He advised that a new location is coming soon to I believe the Walnut Creek area. Research to confirm. The pie was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture. I shared it with my daughter's and we all loved it. You can also order large sizes of desserts as well. I highly recommend Gregory's for your dessert needs. I give Gregory's 👍 👍.

I am SO glad I found this spot while walking to my car. I saw two girls walking up the stairs and that piqued my interest. Curiosity pays off! I went around Thursday at 1PM and there were a few people who were there. It's a super small shop, where you just order and do pick up or takeout only. It's between the iconic murals and you gotta walk a bit downstairs. Inside, they have a few selections, not too many but enough where you have variety and you can see that they specialize in this stuff. The staff (two girls) who worked there (shoutout to Demi) were really helpful and sweet! I decided to try three items. 1. Lake Merritt Special Cheesecake - 5/5 - This was so good, especially if you love chocolate. It has almonds, brownies, and drizzled with chocolate on a cheesecake. 2. Fat Boy - 5/5 - You're telling me this is banana pudding WITH peach cobbler? What an amazing combination and SO GOOD! 3. Apple Streusel Cheesecake - 100/5 - Apparently this is what got them started and MY GOODNESS, this was AMAZING. Love love love and I am a huge fan of apples. Literally my favorite dessert spot... EVER! Absolutely delicious and you best bet I'll be going back!
